Swiss Dipole Antenna

I purchased “The Swiss Dipole” antenna on eBay for $21.00, I have to add the feed line but at 37ft it will make a great RX antenna for my secondary tuner on the Mark V, or the primary one since they are switchable.

Now I have to figure out how to properly solder the RG8X feed line, not sure if I should use a 4:1 Balun or not. When I get back from vacation I’m going to contact the seller and discuss the best option.

    I'm wondering how you connected your feed line to the swiss dipole antenna. I also have one of these and am wondering if I should solder the feed straight to it, use a connector, or use a balun.

    I have one of these Swiss Dipoles, actually I think I have two. As yet I've never had a chance to use them, can you tell me if you used direct feed or a balun.

    How was the performance, it has received some scathing reviews elsewhere, just wondered what your experiences with it were.

I know some people like VE7KFM can't help themselves but if you feel the need to post as "Anonymous" add your name. For some reason he has no issue blasting his call on the air but online he is too frightened to do so, maybe he is afraid of what can happen, who knows, but for the rest of you, please leave a name or call, thanks.
